San Diego 2012

Kase has made a tradition of visiting San Diego every year since he lived there for a summer with the Spechts as an intern after his mission. This year, his good buddy Kyle Moore from San Diego got married, so we set our annual trip on that same weekend. Kase had a floating vacation day we took that Friday so we were able to make it a longer weekend. He literally picked me up from the airport right after being in Washington, and we drove to San Diego. Some of Kase's buddies from Provo came too. Kase has 4 friends living there now - Marc, Kyle, Shane, and Todd.

BEACH TIME!
Todd, Kase, Joel, Hawk, and Marc
They found a starfish. Luckily Morgan Anderson also came, so I wasn't the only girl :) Todd is married, but his wife had to work on Friday

The beautiful beach down the street from Marc's apartment. There we played volleyball, rode bikes, the boys played ball, ran, and just enjoyed :) We went out to eat this evening with all our friends here in the area. It was a lot of fun.
 Beautiful San Diego temple
We barely made it to the sealing...it had already started but we just snuck in the back. We got into a huge traffic jam from a wreck. On the way to the temple, I told Kase, "It's okay if we never live in San Diego." I think we get so spoiled in Flagstaff where there is NO traffic!
Aubree and Kyle dated before her mission, and are now married after she got back. Congrats to the happy couple!

Oh, and I didn't mention that I was in Washington during our 1 year Anniversary. So this trip was also our Anniversary celebration. Happy 1 year to us! There are times when I've thought that I really do hope the first year is the hardest, as you hear. Then there have been other times when I think our marriage is great, and if it were to always stay how it is, I would be perfectly fine with that. I still believe it was the best decision I've ever made :)
