Time Out in Washington

Since I flew up to Washington for Time Out for Women, I decided to stay awhile longer and enjoy time with family. I didn't get near enough pictures, but here are a few of the ones I got:

I spent the first weekday afterwards on the farm. I was just hanging out not doing a whole lot, and Vard was going to help the Jenks get things ready to start farming. So he took me and I helped a little...maybe? I cleaned out the sprinkler heads, watched him clean out a ditch, and sat on a tractor with our cousin Wesley Jenks. It was a fun little experience. I wanted to bring my camera but figured that might be a little weird to them, as that is every day life. It would just label me more as a city girl, ha.

Vard bought a bike and took me on a ride. That thing gets up to speed - FAST!

I got to spend a little time in Moses Lake with the Bergesons and Wells. Of course, these are the only pictures I got, unfortunately. Being up there made me think, "and why don't we live closer to family?" 2-3 hours (Mesa) is a little far, but we are definitely blessed to have that :)

I also spent some time at the Hales. That was eye-opening :) 6 kids age 10 and under is not easy. Kase reminds me that kids come one at a time for a reason. Not when you have twins....I have a lot of respect for all of Kase's family, but especially Makala and all that she does all day! Literally...ALL day.

I love being with Kase's family as much as my own. And it's so wonderful to feel that way about your spouse's family! They have always welcomed me with open arms and go out of their way to make me feel so. I got lucky, to say the least.
